Dartmouth
With its narrow winding streets, wide range of shops, galleries, 14 pubs
and internationally renowned restaurants - the perfect holiday setting!
Take a stroll into town and explore the narrow streets and many
Dartmouth “steps”, take a break and enjoy a coffee at one of the outdoor
cafes.
The town has an excellent selection of individual shops and art
galleries, with something to suit all tastes. Visit the Museum, located
in The Butterwalk, one of the oldest buildings in Dartmouth, or take a
tour of the Britannia Royal Naval College which celebrated its centenary
in 2005 and where all British naval officers receive their training.
If you feel more energetic, walk out to visit Dartmouth Castle (English
Heritage) at the mouth of the river, it’s only about a 15 minute stroll
and offers some outstanding views especially back towards the town and
the Naval College. When the bluebells are out, don’t miss a walk up to
Gallants Bower (near Dartmouth Castle) to marvel at a spectacular
display of these very English spring flowers.

Anchor House Breakfast
A selection of fruit juices and yoghurts and a large selection of cereal
with a fresh fruit salad.
Followed by either:
Full English Breakfast: bacon sausage, free range eggs; fried scrambles
or poached, fresh grilled tomatoes and mushrooms served with your choice
of toast.

Smoked salmon and free range scrambled eggs on toast of your choice. All
our eggs are free range and are of local produce. We are happy to
boil, poach, scramble or fry your eggs.
Grilled kippers are available.
Fresh coffee, decaff available, or a pot
of tea served with your breakfast.
White or brown toast of croissants served
with jams and marmalade.
All ingredients are sourced locally if
possible.
Variations on the listed menu are
available if asked for in advance, particularly if vegetarian or special
dietary requirements are needed.
