to get your news here
People often ask
"how do we get our news with you?"
It has to be of
interest to local residents and also holiday makers, and it
has to be good news! It has to cover Dartmouth and the
surrounding villages specifically. If you are a large
commercial organisation we expect you to help us in return
by sponsoring us. We need 150 - 200 words, no more
than 300 if it is a big story. The words should
preferably be in an e-mail or second best in Word. The
images should be attached to the same e-mail and need to be
at least 400 pixels in one dimension, but not be
bigger than 200K. We need it a week before the
Thursday you want it published, no earlier.
What do we take? Almost anything that would interest
anyone else, a society wedding, or a charity jumble sale, as
long as it's fun we will probably use it.
Why didn't you publish it? many reasons, and here are
just a few. Too late, too early and we lost it, not
covering Dartmouth, too large and we didn't have time to cut
it down, too small and we didn't have time to pump it up,
overly commercial without sponsorship, words embedded in an
image, can't read the file format, no images, boring, a
repeat of an earlier entry, we forgot, we can't understand
it, no reply to our questions, and many, many more reasons!
However, generally we are always short of news, Dartmouth dot
TV needs you!!
