1. Keane
Tonight!
Keane is an intense,
claustrophobic study of a young man struggling to deal with the
disappearance of his six-year-old daughter, apparently abducted
from New York's Port Authority station some months previously.
Always in motion and always on edge, William (Damian Lewis)
returns to the station over and over again, but finds no comfort
there, or in the bars and clubs where nothing will dull his
pain. A meeting with a young woman and her daughter offers
some respite from his isolation, but here as throughout the
film, Kerrigan builds tension and ambiguity, making us fearful
as to how things will turn out. Damian Lewis (Band of
Brothers) is simply outstanding as the grieving, mentally
fragile William. With this compassionate, harrowing and
beautifully filmed tale of redemption, Kerrigan reasserted his
position as one of American cinema's finest contemporary
artists.
Guest tickets available from The Windjammer from 7.30-7.55 at
£3.50.
Our bar at The Guildhall opens at 7.30 - the film to be shown at
8pm approx.

3. Messing about on the river
Ever thought of taking a boat out on
the river for a couple of hours? Pop up to Dittisham for a pub
lunch or venture further to beautiful Stoke Gabriel for a cream
tea? Well you can with the easy to drive boats on the
Dart, and for less money than an evening meal for two!
This will be an unforgettable experience and just for Dartmouth
dot TV viewers there is a £10 discount for 2 or more hours
until the end of June. Even if you can't make June, be
sure to experience the river properly next time you are down,

4. Photographic
Exhibition The Flavel Today and tomorrow!

Proud to be Nikon registered
professional photographers, the Dartmouth dot TV crew thought
they knew a thing or two about photography, but we were totally
blown away by Tony Pike's exhibition at the Flavel.
If you have 'any' interest in art or photography, you must,
absolutely must, pop in today or Friday, you will be stunned.
Tony told us how he produced them at his opening night over a
glass of the bubbly stuff, however we are sworn to secrecy!
If you can't get to the exhibition

5. Dartmouth,
a quality destination?
Of course it is, we have
more world class restaurants than any riverside town, the
best small shops, and the best river in the world!
Last week a senior
officer from South Hams District Council commented at a
public meeting on how our Dartmouth News was one of the best
marketing tools he had seen. This is high praise
indeed and even more reason for some of the 'big guys' to
help us out. So we have formally approached the TIC and Town
Council with our 'cap in hand'.
Dartmouth is too small a
place for competition or politics, we all need to work
together to 'keep Dartmouth special' We are
clearly the experts in Internet marketing and we have a deep
rooted passion in marketing Dartmouth as a quality tourism
destination.
Of course it is
Dartmouth News that is one year old, not Dartmouth dot TV
which is a very mature 3 years old! Our mistake last week!
Of all the hyperlinks to
get wrong, last week we messed our own up! To see our
generous sponsors please

If you enjoy this news
letter, why not show your appreciation by sponsoring us, for
only the price of a small round of drinks every year?

6. NONSTOP Sailing
Alexandra Whitham reports:
NONSTOP Sail’s recently launched new Dehlers, Discovery and
Endurance, are now regularly out and about on the water and
enjoying the sunny weather. You may have already seen them
on the river practising ‘man over board’ manoeuvres but these
ladies have a very busy and exciting few months ahead of them
with a social calendar to match that of any society lady.
Rolex Fastnet : Race Around Britain : Around Ireland : Bordeaux
Wine Tour : Fowey Regatta : Torbay Regatta : Dartmouth Regatta
Every girl likes to be appreciated so if you see Discovery and
Endurance on the water give them a wave or alternatively drop
into 11 Smith Street if you’d like to join them for any of the
events this summer. To find out more
