2.    Sky TV Filming in Dartmouth

Local artist, illustrator and designer Paul Barclay of Nautical Voyages in Oxford Street, Dartmouth was filmed last week for a documentary programme which will be used to promote an upcoming biography about him and the rapid growth of his brand.

Paul said "I have been taken aback by the level of interest in me and my work, I never thought anyone would ever want to write a biography about me, let alone make a TV programme".

International best selling author Jonathan Blain has written eleven books and has over $3.8 million sales. Jonathan said "I am attracted to excellence and stories of human endeavour. Paul is a fascinating subject for a biography. Paul's work has a unique and instantly recognisable style. It unusually has a very broad appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds. Paul has not only created a production line of high quality work, but has simultaneously created a strong brand, range of merchandise and unique designer clothing".  See Paul's web site by clicking here.

Jonathan Blain has a track record of spotting rising talent, some 12 years ago he met a virtually unknown yachtswoman, 18 year old Ellen Macarthur in Dartmouth. He helped her when she struggled to start her sailing career. You may have seen him on BBC News when Ellen returned to Falmouth after becoming the fastest person to sail around the world.
