Cruise Ships

Dartmouth has certainly had a good
week of ship visits, starting with Polar Star last Wednesday,
the Andrea on Sunday, followed by the massive Royal Princess on
Monday and finally the Endeavour on Tuesday. With perfect spring
weather we are sure the visitors and crew from the ships enjoyed
their time in our town and spent loads of money in our shops!
We believe the Andrea is returning to Dartmouth on Sunday/Monday
– watch out for her and be sure to give her passengers a warm
welcome whatever the weather.
2. Mayor
Making

On Monday Councillor Debbie Morris was formally elected
Mayor and Chairman of Dartmouth Town Council for the ensuing
year, with Councillor Richard Rendle M.B.E. as her Deputy.
Debbie takes over from Councillor Iris Pritchard who has
held the office for the last two years. In thanking her
fellow councillors for electing her she said she was looking
forward to guiding them well through the challenges facing
the town. Tributes were paid to the outgoing Mayor for her
hard work during the past two years.
3. Chrome
Classics visit
A whole bunch of classic chrome cruisers came
to visit Dartmouth this Sunday. What better place to
spend a lazy Saturday or Sunday.
We know they checked out all the galleries,
click here to see them, the
great specialty shops
click here to see them, and
of course the fabulous views that Dartmouth has
click here to see some of
them?
Why don't you come down for a day, or even a
long weekend?
4.
Music Festival

Friday - Saturday -
Sunday will see so much music in Dartmouth, everywhere you
go there will be music of some sort. Browns Hotel as a
fantastic line up
click here to see what they
are doing. The Royal Castle Hotel has a stream
of musicians as will Wildfire at the Marina. The Windjammer
pub will have Andy on the door and good music inside.
We counted over 110 performances in the Official
Programme available at the Tourist Information Office in
Mayors Avenue Car Park.
The whole town will be
buzzing, the Market Square, Royal Avenue Gardens, Bandstand,
the streets, Bayards Fort, The Castle, everywhere. If
you try hard you may get to see a quarter of what is
available. So book next year too?
If you are coming for
the day, we recommend you use the Park & Ride at the top of
the hill.
