In This Issue Wine Case of the Week Wine of the week		Welcome to the new format newsletter from Browns. We now have two newsletters: The Bar Newsletter which outlines the monthly events at Browns; A Wine Club Newsletter, which lets you know about our Off Sales, wine tastings and other interesting winey things. We will shortly launch a Browns Card which will give members specific entitlements at Browns. Some of these offers will be specific to members of the Browns Wine Club and some will be relevant only to our monthly events. Watch this space!

Wine Case of the Week Easy Whites - Case £64.02 - £5.33 per bottle Here is a selection of our house wines that won't leave your palate gasping at unwanted acidity. These are easy wines for everyday drinking. These are some of our "by the glass wines" at Browns so we know they're good and at an average of £5.33 per bottle you would be hard pressed to match them at the supermarket. Three each of a Spanish Viura, a well made dry Sicilian, a South African Chenin Blanc that sells for £30 at one well known restaurant and a very good DOC Pinot Grigio.

Wine of the week 2008 Clos Marguerite - NZ Sauvignon Blanc We are delighted to be abe to list this extraordinary New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Clos Marguerite is a genuine boutique winary, with production levels of only 3,500 cases from a 10 hectare vineyard in Marlborough. With two full time employees it is difficult to imagine a smaller wine producer! What is therefore extraordinary is the level of complexity and depth that this wine achieves. The quality of this wine has been fully recognised this year by Bob Campbell who is New Zealands leading wine writer. It makes his top 12 along with wines like Cloudy Bay. He has an interesting site which has reviews on the who's who of sauvignon producers. With about 1000 sauvignons on the market this is a must try for anyone who likes this style of wine.
