The Ditsum Players are now well into rehearsing their forth coming production of Dick Whittington to be performed in Dittisham Village Hall.

Tickets are sold out for Friday and Saturday but are still available for the Premiere on Thursday, January 28th.

4.   Martin Procter - New Work in transition

Paul Reach reports:  Martin has been with the Dart Gallery for nearly ten years now and is in transition with his work. You will have noticed a move towards more abstract work recently and having just visited his studio I was impressed with the stage that he is at now.

Martin has just completed a small collection which illustrates some of his favourite subjects. West Country Harbours, Moorland cottages, Cityscapes, even a rare still life, show the range of subjects he has explored during his time with us. There is always a lot of interest in his work, with a following in America as well as the UK, and these works illustrate the journey he is travelling with his subject matter.

His studio is full of new directions which we await with anticipation. Hopefully this year we will be able to reveal some of the work that he is currently experimenting with.  Drop into the gallery in Lower Street or click here to see their website?

5.   Atlantic rowing race

Trish Thomas reports:  Not sure if you are keeping up with the Atlantic rowing race. The boat Mission Atlantic is sponsored by Dart Marina and myself, among many others. They have finally been able to start, and the girls in 'Missy', one of whom is local girl Jo Langmead, are mid-field at the moment, which I think is pretty good.

6.   Small News
