Thrills by Day, Fright by Night! A First for Woodlands
Family Theme Park!
The largest Family Theme Park in
Devon has joined up with two local colleges and is offering
a brand new experience for visitors this October Half Term.
During the day expect Halloween fun of awesome proportions
like the Flying Spooks Ride through waving monsters and the
Ghoulish Ghost Train around the haunted circus. There’s
1000’s of free home-grown pumpkins, carving championships,
weird workshops and Trick or Treat Hunts.
However on October 29th at 5.00pm all will change in the
Park. Working with South Devon College and King Edward VI
Community College Woodlands Family Theme Park is offering a
whole new event ‘Woodlands Family Fright Night”.
Woodlands Fright Night will have 7 Scare Zones to test your
nerves. You’ll be able to meet the ‘living’ zombies as they
shudder in their dreadful Zombie Lair. Have you got the
nerve to enter the Bleeding Bones Kitchen? You will be
shivering through the Horror Hospital and the Vampire’s
Castle promises to be revolting fun. Jessica Repton, Events
Manager said “this is going to be a fantastic event, we are
having great fun preparing all the zones especially the
Circus Ghost Train”.
With live actors, scare-zones,
music & gruesome food this night is one not to be missed.
Tickets can be bought on the door or online by

Winter's Bone : Tonight
Director: Debra Granik : Actors:
Jennifer Lawrence, John Hawkes, Garret Dillahunt : 100
minutes : Cert. 15. Drama/Mystery/Thriller
‘An outstanding lead performance
from 20-year-old Jennifer Lawrence as Ree, a young woman who
must take on some scary neighbourhood types to protect her
family’ In the Ozark Mountains of Missouri, teenage Ree is
effectively the only sentient adult in her household: her
mother has become catatonic with depression and her younger
brother and sister need looking after. Ree is considering
joining the US army, on account of the $40,000 cash bonus
promised by the recruitment posters. Her father is absent,
and thought to be engaged in the criminal manufacture of
crystal meth. The local sheriff shows up outside Ree's
ramshackle property, and informs Ree her daddy has posted
the family home as bail, and if he doesn't show up for next
week's court date, they will be required to leave. So, to
keep a roof over everyone's head, Ree must find her errant
father. In doing so, she starts to dig up some very
dangerous secrets…
Films are screened at The
Guildhall, Victoria Road, Dartmouth. The bar is open from
