Stoke Fleming
Horticultural and Sports Society: on Bank Holiday
Monday August 29th 12:30 on the Playing Field and in the
Village Hall on the A379 at Stoke Fleming. There will be
the usual programme with lots of stalls and sideshows,
exhibits in the Hall and Marquee, Sports (enter on the
day) and our special attractions, Shuffle the Deck
Dancers, Torbay Owls and Co, the James Harris Jazz
Quartet and Dartington Morris Men, not to mention Circus
Allsorts with circus skill workshops for children. There
is a Bar Tent, Lunch BBQ and Sandwiches, Ice Cream and
Teas. Remember that it only costs £2 entry fee for
adults, 50p for children 5 – 16 and there is free
parking as well.

Home Sitting
Service, Support Needed: Alison Stocks of
Dartmouth Caring reports: The aim of the service is to
enable carers to have some respite care, either for
shopping, hairdressing or just time for themselves.
We are in the process of looking for people who may be
interested in servicing this new initiative. If you have
a health care assistant background or social care
background, or been a carer in your own family, and are
interested in earning some extra income then please
contact the Dartmouth Caring office. Telephone 01803
835384, or just pop into the office when you are in
town.
