J80 World Championship
Many thanks to
Kyle for getting these shots of the J80 Championship to
us. Each yacht has four crew and coupled with the
support team means that about 500 people are in Dartmouth,
and then add the spectators and you can see how important
this is to our small town. Accommodation providers
have been booked out for months and we all thank the
organisers for coming!
Italian Cookery Demonstration by Stephen Bulmer, followed by
Three-Course Italian Lunch
The Angel, Dartmouth is
delighted to support an exclusive event on Thursday 21st
June 2012. Guests attending will be treated to a cookery
demonstration of authentic Italian dishes followed by a
three course Italian lunch in the restaurant for just £32.00

Stephen Bulmer, head chef at The
Angel, Dartmouth spent several years working for Giorgio
Locatelli at his Michelin-starred restaurant Zafferano, in
London’s Knightsbridge before going on to run Raymond
Blanc’s cookery school at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. During
his time at Zafferano, Steve not only perfected his pasta
and pizza-making techniques, but also developed a deep love
for authentic, regional dishes using traditional Italian
ingredients and condiments. This exclusive cookery
demonstration and lunch is Steve’s first opportunity to use
his teaching skills since he arrived at The Angel, Dartmouth
not come down for the weekend, or even a week?
Dartmouth Art & Craft Weekend in aid of Children's Hospice
Saturday 30th June & Sunday 1st
July 2012 10am until 4pm
Another chance to enjoy an
interesting and fun weekend with artists, sculptors, potters
and other craft workers displaying their talents in Royal
Avenue Gardens in Dartmouth. Visitors to this event, the 9th
Dartmouth Art Weekend, will be able to watch, talk to, and
buy from the artists while they work. There will also be
some special art activities for children and teas, homemade
cakes and snacks will be provided by Children’s Hospice
volunteers. This event raised almost £3,000 in 2011 and it’s
hoped that this can be equalled this year. The photo
to the right is from last year's event.
This event is organised by
Dartmouth & District Friends Group, one of around 80 in the
South West working voluntarily to support Children's Hospice
South West. We help raise funds for the hospice and also
increase awareness of the specialist care they provide for
over 400 terminally ill children and their families from the
South West. We hope that as many people as possible will
visit this wonderful Art and Craft Weekend and spend well to
raise lots of money for Children's Hospice South West.
Please help us to make the most of short and precious lives.
More volunteers to help are always very welcome.
for more. Contact Sue Tweed
on 01803 770730 or by email at

little or as much as you like.
