1.  Queen Elizabeth class Aircraft Carrier

Last week saw Dartmouth Artist Paul Barclay hand over three specially commissioned Illustrations at the Britannia Royal Naval College one being of the new type Queen Elizabeth class Aircraft Carrier.  Paul was also asked to design the cover for the passing out parade in December .

After a speech and presentation Paul and his wife Marianne joined the  officers in the gunroom for dinner.

2 New Years Eve in Dartmouth

What can we say!  Rain did not stop play, in fact almost the opposite as you can see here.  An hour or so before the bewitching hour the rain stopped and Dartmouth buzzed in a way only Dartmouth can.  Nigel Way of the Royal Castle Hotel put on a spectacular fireworks display and he also arranged for the Church Bells to chime at midnight.

Many thanks to Browns Hotel, The Royal Castle Hotel and the DA for their help and hospitality during the evening.

Why not come down for the weekend, or even a week?
