Dartmouth really is the most
haunted town in Devon

Everyone was in
excellent spirits on Hallowe’en at the launch of Ken
Taylor’s book “Dartmouth Ghosts and Mysteries”, the latest
publication by Richard Webb. Guests included many of those
who had contributed personal spiritual experiences, together
with local historian Bob Mann (bottom right picture) who led
a ghost walk around the town during the evening, finishing
at the Royal Castle (apparently one of the most haunted
buildings in the town) for some rather more earthly spirits!
Richard said “The launch was very successful with well over
100 copies sold on the first day”. Full of fascinating and
mysterious stories, this book will make an ideal Christmas
present. Don’t forget to get your copy from the Harbour
Bookshop.
The launch was combined with the opening of local
photographer Valerie Wills’ exhibition of haunting
photographs of Dartmouth and the surrounding area. Valerie’s
photos provide the evocative illustrations for Ken’s book.
Don’t miss her exhibition in the Flavel now!
