This is the view from outside the Crabshell
pub looking down the ria from Kingsbridge towards Salcombe. Many think
incorrectly that Kingsbridge lies at the top of an estuary whereas in fact
it is called a 'RIA' because it is not fed by a river but by many small
streams and tributaries.
