Woodlands Family Theme Park

 

All weather fun
Looking for things to do on rainy days? Woodlands Family Theme Park is excellent value whatever the weather. Play all day in massive Fun Factories, indoor rides, 2 Master Blaster Arenas and Soft Play Centres – let off steam this winter at only £6.50 for a full day of fun.

An all weather family attraction with something for everyone, big style playzones to entertain big & small kids all day. Ride the fantastic Sea Dragon Swing Ship, for the scariest white knuckle experience rush for the end seats! Steer big U-Drive Tractors around the track, while toddlers have fun tractoring round Pedal Town.

Rainy days are great with over 100,000 sq.ft. of indoor fun. Experience The Empire with 5 floors of challenging tower climbs, rides & slides, hang on to the Trauma Tower as it shoots up and drops down 50 feet! The Ice Palace is the perfect fantasy playcentre for under sevens, they also love the Big Top soft play and the Circus Train Ride.

The Zoo-Farm has five big barns with hundreds of animals, birds & insects. Chuckle at the mischievous Meerkat babies, come and see them soon ‘cos they're growing fast! While the Nocturnal House gives you the chance to get up close to the night time creatures who are only out when we are sleeping.

There is an incredible amount of fun every weekend, Water features are not fun in the winter so don’t operate. Hot food available from Rays Diner. A day out at Woodlands is a brilliant family treat whatever the weather.

The Sharpham Wine Experience

This thousand year old farm consists of five hundred acres owned by the Sharpham Trust. The house, designed in 1770 by Sir Robert Taylor, overlooks the fields and wooded slopes above the River Dart, two miles downstream of the ancient market town of Totnes. Canoe Adventures

For all ages and ability, an invitation to try canoeing on the Dart aboard guided Voyager 12-seat canoes, giving excellent fun for a day of your holiday. The youngest crew to date was little Sarah, aged 12 days; the eldest was Mr George, 87.

You can power yourself along or travel at the pace of the tide. The itinerary is up to you. You can enjoy slow tourism with wooden engines, power-assisted by the silent tide, and leaving only ripples behind you.

Devon Chilli Farm

“The South Devon Chilli Farm is a free-to-visit chilli farm just north of Loddiswell on the B3196 in the South Hams. We grow around 100 varieties of chillies which can be seen all together in our ‘Chilli Jungle’.  During the winter months please call us first.
